A Place to Discover -
Village Rebrands Itself and Launches New Website
The Village of Winfield, Illinois has launched a new brand identity designed to support economic growth and development in the Village as well as reflect its traditional, small-town charm, a characteristic highly prized by residents.
The new identity is part of a branding initiative that included extensive research and the input of village staff and trustees, community leaders, residents and business owners. Its goals were to identify Winfield’s unique strengths and help articulate a vision for it’s future.
“Our research indicated the strengths of the Village were its friendly character, beautiful forest preserves, and unique location,” said Erik Spande, Village Board President. “Winfield is an unexpected treasure, a place where residents and businesses can thrive. It’s a place that is well worth discovering.”
The branding effort includes creation of a new Village mission statement, vision statement, logo, and tagline. The brand is also being introduced in a new Facebook page, promotional videos, and the launch of a new Village website. Residents can sign up for E-news updates from the Village of Winfield.
The branding initiative was supported by the Village’s Marketing and Communications Commission. Additional initiatives are being developed to promote the Village as a destination to developers, businesses, and families.
“This new identity is a fresh update from what we have used since 1970. It keeps our traditional look and feel while representing a more modern and positive outlook to our future,” said Spande.
The new brand is also expected to play a big role in Winfield’s upcoming centennial celebration in 2021.
