School District 33

West Chicago Elementary School District 33 operates six facilities:

  • Gary School
  • Lincoln School
  • Turner School
  • Indian Knoll School
  • Pioneer School
  • West Chicago Junior High School

West Chicago Junior High School serves 3,933 students (kindergarten - eighth) and is a feeder district to Community High School District 94.

School District 34

The Winfield Public School District 34 has two buildings. Winfield Elementary School (pre-kindergarten - fourth) serves 252 students. Winfield Middle Schools (fifth - eighth) serve 162 students.

School District 200

Community Unit School District 200 operates 14 elementary facilities, two of which serve Winfield residents (kindergarten through fifth). Pleasant Hill School, which was annexed into the Village of Winfield in 2000, serves 689 students. Carl Sandburg School has an enrollment of 429 students.

Franklin and Monroe Middle Schools (sixth through eighth) feed into Wheaton North High School, one of the two high schools in the Community Unit School District 200.

College of DuPage

The College of DuPage (COD), Community College District 502, is located just outside the Village of Glen Ellyn and has an enrollment of over 36,000 full-time and part-time students. College of DuPage is the largest community college in Illinois in terms of enrollment.

Educational programs in over 80 areas of study include associate degrees, college transfer classes, occupational and vocational programs, continuing education, and special programs such as the Older Adult Institute and the Business and Professional Institute.

The main campus covers 273 acres in Glen Ellyn. COD employs approximately 2,500 full and part-time employees. Village residents have access to other colleges and universities, both public and private, throughout the Chicago metropolitan area.
