VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
The Village is now accepting applications for the River Walk Committee;  the Zoning Board of Appeals  and  Village Treasurer.



Village residents or Representatives of Winfield businesses/institutions looking to volunteer for any of these positions are encouraged to apply!  Click on the Commission Application link below.

Commissions & Committees

The volunteers who serve on voluntary Village  Commissions, and Committees are residents who are willing to donate their time and expertise as a way to to demonstrate their commitment to our community and their willingness to make a difference.  These commissions and committees meet to review special issues and develop recommendations for the Village Board's review and consideration.

Residents are appointed to Village Boards and Commissions by the Village President and Board of Trustees.  For meeting times and dates of specific commissions/committees, please contact the Winfield Village Hall at (630) 933-7100.  Meetings held at the Winfield Village Hall.  

The Public Safety Committee is charged with reviewing and recommending on the following:

Ordinances dealing with law enforcement other than transportation and parking matters that remain the purview of the Traffic and Transportation Committee; Public safety related grants; Bids for the purchase of public safety equipment; and Homeland defense and emergency preparedness.

The Public Safety Committee shall also perform such duties as assigned to it from time to time by the Village President and Board of Trustees.

The Public Works Committee is charged with reviewing and recommending on the following:

Utility rate studies in concert with the Administration Finance Committee; Public works related studies; Public works related grants; Monthly statistical report of the Public Works Department; and Bids for the purchase of Public Works equipment. The Committee shall also perform such duties as assigned to it from time to time by the Village President and Board of Trustees.
